25+ Years Experience in Expat Investment Planning

Based in southeast Asia, Guy is a financial planner committed to improving the overall investment experiences for both new investors as well as experienced ones. As a seasoned financial services professional, he understands and remains cognizant of the pitfalls that many investors face when selecting and working alongside a financial professional. Trustworthiness, accountability, and responsiveness are just a few areas that Guy focuses on when building relationships and servicing clients. As a trusted international financial planner, he implements an analytical and detailed approach to addressing client needs, with an aim of organically setting himself apart from negative stigmas surrounding the industry.

Guy has been in the financial services industry for more than 25 years, including over 10 years working on Wall Street in New York City. While working on Wall Street, he served as head of compliance where he cultivated his strong ethical convictions; and it’s this instinctive ethical approach that he credits as the cornerstone of his client services-focused business model. He specializes in international investment options for expatriates—including lump sum investments, regular savings plans, and alternative investments.

“One of the standout lessons I’ve learned in my career is that, more often than naught, clients put more value on having an advisor that is accessible and accountable than the actual performance of their portfolios.”

Guy has previously held a number of regulatory licenses in the U.S. including the Series 7, 63, 24, and 55 licenses. He currently holds his series 65 license.

On a personal level, Guy is a proud father and dedicated “health nut”. He loves eating healthy foods and is an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also loves spending time in nature and eagerly consuming all forms of literature including novels and books focused on personal improvement. When asked what is his favorite part of his profession, he cites having an opportunity to meet and speak with interesting people from varied backgrounds.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.”

— Theodore Roosevelt

Why Work with a Financial Planner?

When it comes to managing your financial future, having a trusted advisor can make a world of difference. A financial planner brings objective guidance to the table, helping you make decisions free from emotional biases that often come with managing your own money.

Another key advantage is saving time. Rather than navigating the complexities of financial planning on your own, a planner does the heavy lifting—whether it’s researching investment options or fine-tuning your tax strategy to maximize efficiency. They have access to specialized tools and resources that the average investor may not, giving you the benefit of professional-grade insights.

Risk management is another critical component. A financial planner not only helps you identify potential risks but also implements strategies to protect your wealth. This includes everything from optimizing your investment portfolio to ensuring your estate is planned in a way that supports your legacy.

Additionally, the cost-efficiency of working with a professional often outweighs the costs. By avoiding costly mistakes, leveraging tax strategies, and enhancing returns through optimized investments, a financial planner helps you achieve more than you might on your own—while freeing up time to focus on what matters most to you.

Much like how a personal trainer can help optimize your workout routine, working with a financial planner provides you with tailored advice, professional tools, and strategic oversight to get the most out of your financial efforts.

How to Maximize Your Free Consultation

Agreeing to a financial consultation can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure what to expect. You can think of this meeting as a “financial health check” where we look at any financial concerns you might have and where you’d like to improve—whether it’s retirement, family security, or investment planning.

Our first conversation is designed to build a working relationship where my goal is to create a comfortable, pressure-free environment where we can talk openly about your needs, ambitions, and any specific worries you might have. You won’t be pressured into decisions or commitments. I’ll guide you through a confidential assessment to get a clear picture of where you stand financially, what matters most to you, and what you envision for the future. This assessment will serve as a roadmap for how we can address your needs together, helping you feel informed and confident about each step forward.

Whether you’re starting to build your wealth, protecting your family’s future, or preparing for retirement, this initial consultation is an opportunity to begin creating a financial strategy tailored to you and your goals.
